138 Biomicroscopía Ultrasónica (UBM) y Glaucoma CONCLUSIÓN La biomicroscopía por ultrasonido tiene varias aplicaciones posibles en glaucoma. Algunas de ellos todavía están en estudio y publicación. A pesar de sus áreas comunes, la OCT de segmento anterior y la UBM no compiten completamente entre sí en este tema, ya que la UBM tiene limitaciones en sus indicaciones (necesidad de un área de filtración intacta y sin fugas) y la OCT tiene limitaciones en su capacidad para visualizar ciertas estructuras (cuerpo ciliar y cámara posterior).
